Well, it’s been open for a week but the glitterati needn’t be too anxious…Trouble - an exhibition of drawing by alumni of the ANU School of Art Printmedia and Drawing Workshop - may have opened without much fan-fare but the plan is to end it with a bang on Friday 26th Oct (closing party from 6pm). It’s a really terrific show, and well worth a detour into the School of Art Gallery…
The Gang actually snuck in and took these photos during the latter part of the install, so not all of the artwork is represented (well, we thought we ought to leave the odd surprise!!) and some of the work is actually incomplete. Surya was still finishing his “Troubled Aquarium” and we caught Jan Hogan and Antonia Aitken’s piece in its unfinished, coprophilic stage (which, naturally, we found particularly charming.)
And just to accentuate the sense of ‘barely there’ we’ve thrown in a couple of photos from the days leading up to the install; the last minute angst of getting the floor in and the Gallery up and running in time for the show (on the heels of additional, extensive renovations post-the-dreadful-storm-in-Feb.
